Many of you may be familiar with the Suncoast LLS Boy of the Year, Patrick Pedraja. While undergoing chemotherapy treatments for his leukemia, Pat learned that people are losing their battle with cancer every day because of a critical shortage of marrow donors. Pat decided to do something to help and started a program called Driving for Donors. In 2007, he raised over $150,000 for tissue typing fees to add marrow donors to the National Marrow Donor Program Registry. He and his family drove cross country in an RV and signed up over 6,500 new marrow donors. Lives have already been saved from his efforts! Not too long ago, Patrick won the CNN Heroes Award for Viewers' Choice. Well Pat is up for TWO more awards! Help Pat make an even bigger difference!

Pat is one of 10 finalists in the contest. One winner will be decided by an online vote (one vote per computer per day) and the winner will receive $15,000 and be inducted into the Energizer Bunny Keep Going Hall of Fame on August 19th.
