The sun is finally out

Nana, Sam & Auntie Pam

It has been a few boring days for Matthew. Rain rain and more rain. Sam is enjoying camp and seems to be past the "I look different/no one likes me" stage. As we all know, that changes by the moment so I'm hoping she keeps up the happiness and excitement. Her Cape Cod End of Chemo party is Sunday at my brother Mike's house. Auntie Cheri's lake house is not totally done yet but we do hope to see it (and her) next weekend! Sam is very excited about that. She is super excited about this weeks party as it's been talked about for months now and it is finally here. Matthew is having a really tough time. He is in serious need of counsel and I will be making phone calls next week to get he (and Sam) in somewhere once we get home...the stuff that comes out of his mouth is heartbreaking and he has such anger and confusion. Tomorrow will be tough on him but hopefully with a lot of his cousins and aunties and uncles here, he will handle it okay.

Another child passed away this week. Jimmy was 9 years old and had ALL. He is now finally cancer free after 5 years of fighting. He relapsed 3 times and his body couldn't take the heavy duty chemo anymore. Please keep Jimmy's family in your prayers. His funeral is today. www.caringbridge.org/visit/jimmyreichert . With a cure rate of 90%, it certainly makes you wonder, doesn't it? We have lost far too many kids to ALL (and all cancer's) this year. Please also keep these families in your prayers as they learn to deal with life without their kids... Mathew, Sierra and all kids whom we have lost...you are always in our thoughts and in the sunshine reigning down each day...

...to those still fighting, we think of you often and pray for your strength...

WITH NEVER ENDING HOPE 4 A CURE,
K, J, S & M
